Did you know that the Publix Deli now makes Kids Meals? I recently had the opportunity to try one with a FREE Kids meal coupon I received from BzzAgent.com.
The Kids Meals sell for $3.99 each and are located in the Deli section of the grocery store…mine was in a cooler right next to the Deli, but if you can’t find yours make sure you ask! Since I had my two older children with me while I was doing a spot of grocery shopping I decided to treat them to one as well lol! There are several different kinds you can try and all are pretty healthy which as a parent I REALLY like. They have:
•Ham on Wheat Thin Bread with mini carrots, Yo-Kids yogurt and Mott's apple juice
•Peanut on Honey Wheat Roll with string cheese, mini carrots, apple sauce and fruit juice drink
•Chicken Tender Hawaiian Roll with mini carrots, Yo-Kids yogurt and fruit juice drink
•Peanut Butter Apple Wrap with string cheese, mini carrots, Yo-Kids yogurt and fruit juice drink
•Turkey on a Honey Wheat Roll with apple and grape packet, craisins and organic white milk
When I got to Publix to pick mine out, they had every version to choose from which made it hard to pick just one. I chose the Chicken Tender Hawaiian Roll while my girls chose the Ham Sandwich Wheat Thin version. Mine was really good! Of course I think Publix makes great chicken and love those sweet rolls!! I also liked having the carrots, but they would have been so much better with some kind of dipping sauce like Ranch. Another thing is that I really wish they gave a choice on which yogurt flavors you can have in the Meal. Mine had Blueberry which I hate!
The girls both loved the Ham Kids Meal as well but my oldest did say she wished it came with a cheese option. While I thought they were a little pricy for everyday lunches they still make a nice alternative to fast food if your out in town for the day. I will definitely be grabbing these again. They made great lunches to take to Nana’s house for us!
