After finishing up at Target we went to the mall because I saw that Hollister online had 50% off their clearance and wanted to see what was in store. You can get some amazing deals in there! And I love the clothes for kids, they let kids look like kids and hold up very well! Now that Remy is out of their sizes I go in there for Holly and Peanut.

I had a coupon there too lol...I got it out of a Free savings booklet that I found while waiting at the bank yesterday (the kind you see everywhere in town). It gave us 2 buffets, 2 drinks for 10.99. Not bad.

After lunch we headed to Remy's school to pick up her report card. She got all A's and B's (like she has all yr) making us very proud and happy!

Finally we went to MY favorite store..a local kids consignment shop called The Monkey Cage. It is also a great place to take our kids outgrown items and make a little money! I love Mail Call!

One of my husband Phil's "duties" that he loves to do is to check the mail! Well when he brought it to me today it was full of great stuff!!

I emailed a few companies about products we use (and either love or had issues with). Now I NEVER ask for anything, I just let them know my personal feelings. If they send me something awesome, if not well it only takes a few minutes to email lol. This is some of the responses I got:

1. Kimberly-Clark: I was upset at their Snugglers diapers..my daughter leaked through onto my bed AND her car seat several times..it was a pain in the butt to clean! I never had this issue before with Huggies when I bought them for my previous girls so maybe it was a bad batch of diapers! I did tell them that I loved their wipes though, just not impressed with Snugglers. They sent me 2 Free super mega diaper coupons, 2 $5 off any Huggies product and 2 $1 off any Huggies product! These were really cool coupons, they were shiny silver colored and remind me of the "golden tickets" in Willy Wonka lol.

2. SE Johnson: signed up for a coupon booklet weeks ago that they advertised that finally got here lol.

3. Henkel: Told them how much I LOVE their 3-in1 Purex sheets (seriously these make my life so much easier). The girls can help with laundry and not make a huge mess and I don't have to buy a ton of stuff like fabric softener or fabric sheets, its all in the one sheet! They sent me 3/$1 off coupons for Purex 3-in1 (YEA!), 1/.50 off Soft Scrub product, 1/.40 off Renuzit product, 1/.50 off any size Zout stain remover!

4. McNeil: Found out the bottles of Childrens Motrin and Tylenol we had were recalled so I called and gave the info..we got a check for 23.00 from them!

All in all a great haul!! It's also great to know they really do read your emails! I will deff continue to do this!

What we did on Fathers Day!

So Phil had a wonderful day yesterday!! And I didn't even have to spend a fortune to make it memorable!

The girls made his sign since we couldn't find one for Fathers Day lol!

Daddy sits where the hat is lol..we got the hat at the dollar store. We had steak and lobster tail for dinner (a HUGE treat for us..but I got them on sale lol).

His hoard of presents!! We used gift bags we saved from previous years and the tissue paper was $1 at the dollar tree for 30 sheets!

He got alot of nice stuff..picture frames from the girls, a photo album (on sale for $3.50!), and two outfits from Old Navy...that I paid LESS than $30 for! Plus the girls made his cards which was so much more personal!

Remember I told ya'll about the Lowes Build and Grow workshops? Well on the 6/12 one they were making these picture frames so I took the girls and they made a FREE Fathers Day gift..even the pictures inside were free since they were from my 50 free prints at CVS!

Since the girls got Phil pictures I decided to make this for him from Peanut aka Koi. It is full of pictures of them together. I also didn't pay anything for it since Walgreens had the collage free AND 25 free prints (which we used for a photo album we gave him too) and we already owned the frame.

And of course I always use any excuse to add to his wardrobe lol..got two outfits for him on sale at Old Navy. Shirt $10, REVERSIBLE shorts $15. We also got another blue tshirt for $8 and another pair of shorts to match for $15! Then I used a 30% coupon I had for them with $10 in reward money!

I had a ball putting it all together with the girls and saving a bundle in the process! It just shows that you can do a lot for very little money!!

Need something to do with the kids this summer?

Well, the girls are home for the summer and that means a LOT of complaints of, "I'm BORED Mom!" Keeping them occupied is a chore in itself and with a family of five we don't have alot of spare money to put towards entertainment...which is why I have been looking for FREE ways to keep them happy lol..here is what I have found so far...

Lowes has these Build and Grow workshops this summer! I VERY rarely step foot in hardware stores but I will be for these! I went to one a couple of weekends ago with the girls (secret Father's Day Surprise for Phil lol) and it was awesome! The girls got cute Lowe's aprons (with a nametag), goggles, and the project supplies. Then after they were done making their "Secret Fathers Day Surprise" they got a badge just like the ones Boy/Girl Scouts get to sew on the apron and a certificate of completion! I wish the Peanut aka Koi was old enough to go too lol!

We plan to go 6/26 where they will be making a wood Monster Truck and again on 7/10 to make a wooden Ball and Cup game. It was so fun!

Info Here!

Toys R Us also periodically has special fun days for kids too. This weekend they have a Lego one, but we already have plans that day or I would deff go lol! For those that are interested here are the details for the Lego event...

Saturday June 19th from 12 - 2pm at your local Toys R Us.
Build your very own LEGO creation
Prizes, Giveaways and More!

Also that day:

Free Father's day Make It and Take It at Michaels Craft Store 6/19/10

Stop by between 10 am and 2 pm to make a FREE Father's Day Card.

Also we don't have one of these stores, but I hear they are pretty common for most people lol..it sounds like fun!

Bass Pro Shops is having a FREE Family Summer Camp every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday until July 11th from 12 – 6 pm.

Here are the events you can participate in:

Free shooting gallery
Free casting pond
Free workshops
Free shooting range
Free crafts (noon to 2 pm)
Free Smores (5 pm to 6 pm)

Info Here!

I will post more fun events as I come across them!

Got some pictures you need printed?

With a new baby in our house we have gone slightly photo mad...which can be costly lol. Plus my husband Phil always wants to use our home printer to print pics which steals all the ink I NEED to print out my coupons!

Well after a little research I did online I found that there are deals that give you FREE prints! I mean no money out of pocket! Here are a few I have used recently (and the quality was great!)..

CVS is offering 50 free photos when you sign up for a new account. You will receive a welcome email with a code to redeem for your 50 free photos. You can select that they print to the store, and you will pay absolutely nothing at the register! You won’t even have to present that crazy Extra Care Card you need for most of their deals..although yes I DO have one lol!

Info Here!

This is my FAV photo deal right now..Walgreens is giving you a FREE 8x10 photo collage right now in ADDITION to the FREE 25 prints for new users! And again, if you pick it up in store its completely free..mine were ready in just an hour! I used this for a special Father's Day Surprise for Phil! Hurry for this one since the Free 8x10 collage expires 6/19!

Info Here!

I will post more as I find them...

Yea for free movie tickets...

Well, I found out about a rebate today that gives us another free movie ticket for one of the Birthday trips.

Kelloggs and Keebler are offering a free movie ticket when you collect 5 tokens from specialty marked packages. You can get 3 movie tickets per household and the deal is good until 5/30/2011! Hey that's my birthday next year lol! I already have five tokens..we like Rice Krispie Treats and I picked up 5 boxes..most of which are already gone lol..but since you have to mail the tokens in, this will be going towards Holly's Birthday Movie in November.

Info here!

Here’s a recap up of all the free movie tickets we are using:

Pop Tart Rewards: We have used this for two tickets so far..they print right at home so no waiting on the snail mail to get your tickets! I am hoping to get enough points for one more ticket which we will probably use for Holly's Birthday since we have to eat all the Pop Tarts in the cabinet before getting more..unless I find a BOGO (buy one get one) Free deal in an upcoming grocery ad lol..

Info Here!

Hershey's Mail in Movie Tickets..you buy 4 bags (details in the link) and get a free ticket when you mail in the UPC codes..this will also be used for Holly's Birthday since we have to wait on the mail lol..

Info Here!

General Mills Cereal Movie Ticket rebate..these are great for us since we go through some cereal in our house!

Info Here!

Here is another good one for those that have a Publix, I haven't looked for this yet, but I will be since the brownie mix has one and they have brownies BOGO Free alot at their store lol...

Info Here!

Also if you are interested in seeing Toy Story 3 or a Disney or Touchstone movie this Kelloggs cereal rebate is a great one to use. They also have $5 in concession stand cash that you can trade in for..this is what we did since Remy already chose Twilight: Eclipse for her Birthday Movie. Already printed and in my purse ready for her Birthday on July 4th!

Info Here!

Hope this helps someone else score some FREE tickets!

Birthday Deals!

After your first birthday, our family doesn't do birthday parties anymore and since the kids get a huge haul of toys/clothes/etc every Christmas we nix that too. So every year instead of those "traditional" things we take our girls to dinner and a movie of their choice. We are all big movie fiends so this works for us. And with five of us it costs over $40.00 just to see the movie so it is a SPECIAL treat to go to the actual theater vs a getting a dvd. Last year we saw Transformers 2 (Remy's choice) and Planet 51 (Holly's choice)..this year Remy, of course, is dragging us to see Twilight: Eclipse in a few weeks..Holly..well who knows, her birthday isn't until the end of the year and she changes her mind a hundred times lol..we go see what she says when we get to the cashier to pay!

So, that being said we made a quick trip to Winn Dixie..ran out of milk..and decided to get a few things I had coupons for lol..

I got:

-Four bags of Hershey candy..this was for the mail in rebate for a free movie ticket. With the kids home for summer break the candy will come in handy as bribes for good behavior when the baby is asleep lol..

-Three boxes of Kelloggs cereal (2 Rice Krispies for making treats with the girls) and a box of Frosted Flakes simply cause we like them. I made sure to get the ones marked with the Toy Story 3 promo so I was able to use the codes inside to get $5.00 in Movie concession stand bucks since TS 3 is something they want to wait on dvd to see!

-30 jars of Beechnut baby food..I had 3.00 in coupons for this and they were on sale 5/$2.

-5 boxes of Pop Tarts..these weren't on sale but I did have $1/2 coupons as well as my husband's discount of 5% so I didn't feel too bad. Plus I use the codes inside for THEIR movie ticket promo lol...use 5 different flavor codes for one ticket..we already traded in for one ticket and are working on another with these 5.

-Similac Big Can formula..I had a $5/1 coupon AND a $5/purchase of $20 in baby products coupon..this made a 50% savings! I paid less than $10 for this!

I am also part of the Winn Dixie baby club so for every baby product dollar spent I get points towards a $10 credit..its free money! Plus they give you awesome coupons..I already got free diapers, wipes, and Tide detergent!

So, to recap, we need 4 tickets to go see Twilight: Eclipse..so far I have 3 free tickets AND $5 towards our snacks! All for getting stuff we normally buy! Not a bad deal if I do say so myself...

Foray into Walgreens and CVS...

This morning Holly, my 6yr old, had a Dr appt so I decided to try out one of those CVS/Walgreen deals I always hear about. Since it was just Holly and I (no 11 yr old complaining and no 4mo old with a car seat to lug around) it was a pretty quick and uneventful trip.

I hit Walgreens and got:

-Listerine Whitening Rinse Plus Floride
$2/1 coupon
$3/1 Walgreens coupon
Total .99!

*Now the reason I got this is not only cause we actually use it but there is a rebate for 10.00 back for buying one making this a 9.01 money MAKER! I will be sending THAT rebate off today lol!

Then we went to CVS since they had a deal on detergent sheets and we use alot of those lol:

-Purex 3-in-1 BOGO Free (now I was surprised that their normal price was 7.99!! It's only 5.49 at Walmart!) But..
A. It was BOGO which is rare and
B. I had a $1/1 coupon so it was still cheaper than getting 2 at Wamart. So...
Total 6.99 for two packs..still sore that they aren't 5.49 though lol!

-Right Guard 5 deodorant
-BOGO Free
-Reg 3.49
-$3/2 coupon
-Total .49 each...I got 4 so we are good for my husband Phil's deodorant for awhile lol..

*I also got one of their CVS cards..who knows if I may use it in future...still not sure how those buck things work!

In a little bit (after Phil and Koi aka the Peanut wake up) I plan to hit Winn Dixie..I have tons of coupons there I will tell you about later..plus since Phil works there we get 5% off our bill lol!

Savings 6/14/10

So I had this Kraft rebate form for $10 that I sent out today. This is the first I have used like this..Kraft sent it to me for "liking" them on Facebook along with some coupons for Free items. You had to buy $30 worth of Kraft items to get the rebate during a certain time frame...we can spend this amount in cheese alone lol.

I circled my bought items/pricing on my receipts and filled out the form and off it went. We will see if it comes back with my $$ lol. Fingers crossed!

But it got me thinking, what other cool rebates are out there that aren't advertised? Well, I found one for Hershey's that gives me a FREE movie ticket, one for Band-Aids for a free first aid kit (my daughter Holly alone keeps Band-Aid in business lol), and a $5 rebate for SC Johnson too!!

Can't wait to start getting rebates in the mail lol!

Another thing is since I joined Swagbucks yesterday I have already earned 100 of them! After 450 I get to trade them in for a FREE $5 gift card to Amazon! Yea!

On a side note, as it does every summer Barnes and Nobles is doing their reading promo. Your kiddo reads 8 books and gets a Free book for a prize! I printed the forms out two days ago and my oldest daughter Remy just turned hers in already...the kid takes after me and reads constantly lol. Holly is still working on Book 1..but hey she is only 6!

Swagbucks??

I am always interested in branching out into even more savings which is why I went ahead and joined Swagbucks..still trying to figure the whole thing out tho lol...I did learn how to add a banner code thing lol..

Search & Win

From what I understand you can earn these bucks and use them for great prizes..I plan on saving mine until I get 450 to trade in for the $5 Amazon GCs!

Organization is a MUST!

So now that I decided to get semi-serious on my coupons, I have to have an organizer. My husband was actually the one who said so lol. We went to four different stores before I finally found something that will work for me. It isn't as small as I would like, but it WILL fit in my diaper bag. And wouldn't you know it was on clearance for 2.47!

It also came with little cards to write which compartment is which on (like a file does). I plan on having my husband write them out though since sadly he has better handwriting than I do lol.
